Wequaquet Lake, Centerville
On a secluded Truro hilltop, this beloved family vacation home with an original large flat roof is transformed by curved roof panels and a signature lookout tower. Curved decks and steel cable railings extend living outdoors to capture spectacular distant water views of both Cape Cod Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
In order to link the existing house with an addition, the front door is placed on a 45-degree angle behind a Mahogany farmer’s porch. The roof of the garage slopes toward the road to give the home visual balance. Cedar shingles replaced blue clapboard siding. Cape Cod Life Magazine described the project as a “flawless remodel/addition“.
Cape Cod Bay, Wellfleet
A multi-level home on a fairly humble site uses every inch of its 23-foot height limit to maximum capacity. Cathedral ceilings and open-concept floor plan embrace today’s preferred style of living, but never at the expense of cozy nooks and comfortable spaces. Cape Cod National Seashore
This design-build beach cottage was renovated sensitively in the Wellfleet area of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Light fills the interior thanks to a redesign which features an open floor plan.
This Orleans home is set on a bluff overlooking Nauset Beach and the Atlantic Ocean, along with National Seashore tidal marshes. The thoughtful redesign takes advantage of ocean breezes, sunlight, and expansive views.

The need for a major renovation for this Cape Cod summer home was clear from the outset. After the home construction was complete, the project exceeded even the architect’s expectations. The character of this Cape house residential design inspires many of our new clients as they look forward to their own home renovations.
The design for this Osterville luxury home renovation is built on the healthy structure of the existing California-style home. Years later, the client returned to work with AD architects on a second home as their family needs grew.
The architects were restricted to the existing footprint for this Mashpee renovation. The waterfront Cape Cod home gracefully expands the existing home by adding an additional story to maximize majestic water views.
With panoramic views of Pleasant Bay and the Cape Cod National Seashore, AD Architects redesigned this Cape Cod home along with a barn, pool house, and a nearby cottage.

East Orleans Pool
Major renovations and additions to this Cape Cod home included: several bedrooms, a large kitchen for entertaining, two story entry with easy access to mudroom, and a two-car garage for car and boat. The addition features a Master Bedroom with private bath, as well as, a Junior Master Bedroom with private bath on the first floor. Two areas are convertible for extra weekend sleeping areas. The home features an in-ground pool and hot tub, along with a “Mancave-Hideout” office in the basement. The home’s footprint was carefully designed to feature a backyard pool in relationship with an adjacent sensitive wetland.
